The Electronics and Instrumentation Lab is equipped with various test measuring instruments like Digital Storage CRO, Signal & Function Generator, Multi-meter with GPIB, controllers and different power supply modules. Various types of transducers and signal conditioning units for both electrical and mechanical measurements are available for the students to understand the concept of measurement of process parameters. A miniature model of pressure, temperature, heat exchanger, level and flow process are also available for the students to understand the process control concepts. Different set up for computer interface to the process with the data acquisition systems are also available. Lab VIEW and PLC are also available for monitoring and control of process. The Programmable Logic Controller and applications modules such as Pick and Place, Annunciator and Traffic Control are available for the students to understand process automation. Software and Hardware being employed have been updated from time to time so as to enable the students to take up state-of-the-art projects.
