Microprocessor Programming & Interfacing Lab

This laboratory is equipped with following hardware and software:

•  A total of sixty five PCs of following Configuration

•  PIV 2.4 GHz, 256 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD, CD-ROM Drive , I.44 MB FDD, 15” Monitor, NIC.

    a. 16 Nos. of ACER, Veriton 5500G (Desktop type) with Samsung Sync master 551 V Monitors and ACER 6511 UV Keyboard

                and

     b. 49 Nos. of ACER, Veriton 7600 G (Tower Type) with ACER AC 511 Monitors and ACER KB2971 Keyboard

•  Two A3 HP Laser 5100 printers

•  A PC (of same configuration as “b” above) for the course instructor

•  Microprocessor Trainer Kits (15 Nos.) along with a number of Interfacing kits.

•  SOFTWARE Packages: Microsoft Office windows XP; Microsoft Office 2003; MATLAB version 6.5 release 1.3 (30 user license); Microsoft 2003 .NET (150 users); FREEWARE : SUN Java, Red Hat Linux and Microsoft MASM;

All the aforementioned hardware is connected to the Campus Network (LAN). The Faculty Instructor's PC is also attached with a LCD projector and a wall mounted screen for the projection etc.,

During laboratory components of the courses: Engineering Graphics, Computer programming I and II, the practical sessions are conducted using the Auto CAD 2004 and C-Compiler available as a freeware with the RED HAT Linux Version 9.0 (operating system), respectively.

Each student is provided with a single PC while conducting the practical session. Each student is provided with a wooden chair with back support to provide comfort during practical session.
